Channel Sales Executive

The Role

The Channel Sales Executive is responsible for managing sales within the Telstra Channel and our Telstra Partner relationships in VIC, SA, WA and NT. The role is accountable for growth of CONNECT revenue across the assigned channel partners. The role requires a strong business development focus, understanding of solution selling and software sales. The role will initially report to the CEO / co-founder, and work closely with their colleague who manages NSW, QLD and ACT.

You will be responsible for the driving new business sales and fostering partner engagement; developing performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with productive partner relationships.

  • Develop and maintain close working relationship with Channel Partners
  • Grow revenue by ensuring a strong pipeline of meetings, presentations and proposals
  • Manage deals from prospect through to handover to the implementation team
  • Maintain and develop partner relationships ensuring our partners are receiving a high level of customer service
  • Be an active contributor to the company’s unique selling proposition and differentiators
  • Liaise with the internal account and technical teams

Key performance indicators

  • Proactive management of sales pipeline and channel activity, including administrative maintenance within company CRM
  • Active engagement with key Telstra & Partner contacts, nurturing long term relationships
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline
  • Meeting quarterly sales targets
  • Being a positive contributor to the company culture and future

This role is full time, with an opportunity for more flexibility if required. The person can be based in VIC, SA or NSW. We have offices in NSW and VIC, but the role can work from home.

A competitive salary and commission scheme is offered.

  • Experienced in Business Development coupled with Account Management within a channel environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Persuasive presentation skills and the ability to deliver strong platform demonstrations

(Previous experience working within Telstra or a vendor selling into Telstra will be seen favourably)

Successful candidate will be required to undertake a NSW Police Check.
